Since I have treasured memories from the San Juan , PR and St Thomas USVI Chart House back in the eighties I go from time to time sit at the bar to enjoy the place and the view . Usually order a couple of appetizers and cocktails.
Wow! First visit to Chart House, Christmas Day dinner reservation. Although the restaurant was packed, it did not diminish from the quality of the service or the food. We were greeted promptly and pleasantly by the hostess and our table was amazing with a beautiful water view. Brandon, our server, was excellent - very friendly, professional, and attentive. Prime rib came out well done when I ordered it Med Rare, i couldn't even cut it... this is the second time I’ve gone this year for Prime Rib, last time they ran out and didnt tell me until later...after going there for over 30 yrs i dont think ill go back ... too bad too because it was my place for special events ...but for these costs for a cut of meat its got to be perfect !
Service was not too attentive. Food was only fair, took forever to come out and then was cold. I ordered Salmon and instead got Snapper. They knew it was our anniversary dinner and instead of giving us a more private table setting, they surrounded us with large loud groups. I’m not the type to complain, I just don’t return.
