Not worth the $ this time – Positives: The view is amazing. The food is wonderful. Lounge will transfer your tab up to your table when the reservations are ready. AMAZING lobster bisque. Negatives: Price and service. The lounge was not very professional and were confused on how to make my drink (Kettle One Vodka on the rocks) Tough one, I know. They charge for a glass of soda water, as if everything else we are ordering isn't enough. Our waiter started off strong and was very attentive. After our appetizers he began to drift... read more

Good, but not worth the money – I went to the chart house for my first anniversary, and found that the wait staff and view were superb. The food, however, was only good, not great. In particular, my husband and I both enjoyed the seared ahi appetizer and our entrees (I got the crab cakes which were served with a wonderful caper butter sauce). The salad, however, was only mediorce, and the hot lava cake was nothing special despite all the hype. Because of the chocolate in the middle, the whole cake deflated when we put our sp... read more

Best view and food in the city... – My boyfriend and I have dined at quite a number of restaurants in the city and are always willing to try something new, but the Chart House is by far my favorite. I always suggest Chart House for a romantic dinner for the two of us. We've also had dinner parties here and the staff is very accommodating. Always make sure to have a reservation and a tip for the valet, as parking is extremely limited and you are pretty much forced to valet. The food is excellent and so is the service. And it ... read more

Best Lobster Bisque – I dined here over the holidays with my wife and parents who were visiting from out of town. The view was spectacular as always and the service and food were great. I wanted to comment on the lobster bisque because it was fantastic. It actually tasted like lobsters, had great consistency (no separation because of overheating) and it had many bite sized pieces of lobster. This is definitely a must have.

Incredible view, best food, professional service! – We have been going to Charthouse for several years. We also eat out at least 4 nights a week. I can honestly say this is the best restaurant in Oregon. They have been consistently good; have always given exceptional service, handled problems quickly and delightfully. They accomadated every request we had and followed thru flawlessly. This place has a strong drive to succeed. You can also see the kitchen so you know it is a place you can trust. I give them 100%! Even the val... read more

Great Fireworks Display on the 4th of July – This place is one of my all-time favorite Portland establishments. It has changed over the years, but I had a great time this fourth of July with several friends and great view of all the city fireworks. We had appetizers, soups/salads, entrees, several non-alcoholic beverages, and a desert and the total came to $260. I thought it was very reasonable. The menu is extensive, from several fish choices to steak and chicken, even a few vegetarian options for our sole vegetarian guest.... read more

Excellent view, not pretentious, great food, wonderful service – The view is amazing, the food is great. It's spendy ($200 for a party of 4 with tip but w/o alcohol). We went there to have a special evening with some friends and could not have asked for a better time. We all had different choices from the fresh fish menu and no one was disappointed. The homemade potato chip appetizer was huge and very tasty. The server was sharp, friendly and very good at making sure we understood what was on the menu and once we ordered had... read more
