Disappointing – I've eaten here many times over the years with some great experiences. My mom arrived from out of town on a wonderful sunny day and mentioned the Chart House for lunch because of the view. Everything except the clam chowder was disappointing. We ordered an Ahi Tuna appetizer that arrived after our meals and was probably the worst I've ever had. Their Caesar Salad was terrible and under dressed. Service was also substandard. It took us over an hour to get in and out despite essentially ordering soup and salad.... read more

Loveliest setting This restaurant is in one of the loveliest areas. It is such a nice place to eat at on a clear sunny day. The food is good, not cheap. Good for a nice day or night out

HORRIBLE FOOD AND BAD SERVICE – This place used to be good about 10 years ago but it has really gone down hill. The only thing this has going for it is the view. We went this last Saturday night at 7:30. we ordered 2 apetizers and they were OK. Then we ordered our food. I ordered the Macadamia nut crusted Mahi Mahi, my partner ordered the sea scallops and another friend ordered the salmon and another friend ordered the prime rib. Well 10 minutes later our waitress came back to tell us the Mahi Mahi and the Sea scallops were ... read more

The reason chains have a bad rep – I cant believe that anyone has given this restaurant 5 stars. The atmosphere is nice enough, and there is a nice view, but other than that, I would rather eat at Macdonald's, or even Arby's. At least there, you get your money's worth. we had Oysters Rockefeller and lobster spring rolls. The oysters were dirty, unwashed with muscles still attached, and had a nasty bitter taste, and the lobster spring rolls were more like frozen craw fish egg rolls w/ sour cabbage and a mustard sauce. Mustard... read more

Chart House Restaurant This is the place to go on a clear sunny day. The Chart House has one of the best locations in Portland, tucked up in the west hills with unbelievable views to the east. They have a very well rounded menu, and can't ever recall being disappointed. For whatever reason, I always seem to order something off their seafood menu, but their steaks are very good. I would highly recommend it for dinner, or even a place to go for drinks.

Wonderful – We went to the chart house for dinner on Saturday. We had 7:30 dinner time. We were seated at about 7:40. They moved us to the lower level it was quiet and an much more personal setting. The waiter didn't rush us. I ended up being there for 3 plus hours and loving ever second of the dinner. By far the best service i have ever had. That includes having eaten at the Benson Hotel. This resturant is a must go to for anyone who is looking for an awesome dinner. The view made it even better.

For more than 40 years, this chain restaurant has served seafood and steaks in a relaxed atmosphere. – In Short Founded in 1961 in Colorado, Chart House now has more than 25 U.S. locations. The restaurants, many of which occupy historic buildings, draw on the local region's natural features, making each one unique. Fresh fish and seafood dominate the menu with offerings like jumbo lump crab cakes, mahi mahi and Australian lobster tail. For landlubbers, there's prime rib, filet mignon and N.Y. strip steak. Sweet finishes incl... read more

Great! – The only reason I'm not giving them 4 stars is because the waitress knocked the water into my lap (no big deal though). Food was excellent as always. We'll be back!

Terribe, terrible service, food was cold – I went here for the first time for a work lunch w/ a group of 9. The view was beautiful even though it was cloudy. The restaurant was pretty dead - I think there were 3 or 4 other tables, each with 2-3 people. After we sat down the waitress spilled ice-cold water down my boss's back and just said "oops, did I get you?" and didn't even apologize. Then it took us over an hour to get our food even though 4 of us ordered salads. The waitress also forgot who ordered what and was giving p... read more
