6 years ago, my wife and I used Charming Movers to move out of an apartment into our first home. They did a fantastic job, so when it came time to schedule a moving company for our most recent move to a new home, we called Cheri right away. She was on it immediately with a site visit to our home and provided an estimate very quickly. total bait and switch If you want to get ripped off by an old school mafioso type company, you've hit the jackpot!!!!! Be prepared to be bullied, yelled at and made to feel like utter crap by the owner and the entire team. Mrs. Dorfman goes to websites and pretends to be a client and gives herself good reviews. I contracted with Charming Movers to move my household from Rockville to Poolesville in August, 2014. The owner, Cheri, called me a few days later to say that they would need to move me over 2 days instead of 1 because her new moving trucks would not be ready. I said 'OK' despite this being somewhat problematic. She later called to say that she had persuaded the truck company to pay for rental trucks and the move would go as originally planned. UnCharming Movers I moved from DC to Asheville NC in June 2012. I would NOT use Charming Movers again. I contracted with them because the owner guaranteed me that my items would be crated and not comingled with other moves. I learned at delivery that my items were lodged between two moves and never crated. Sadly, several of my belongings were delivered to the prior to move. Additionally, I have numerous broken items that the movers packed.

Charming moves saved our stuff and our sanity Charming Movers helped us stay sane during the most complicated move of our lives. It involved 2 local moves, coordinating details from thousands of miles away, months of storage...and the final charge was BELOW the estimate. UNCHARMING MOVERS-DON'T USE!!! I can't believe the unprofessionalism of this company! I asked for an hourly rate quote and got a flat rate quote! Then when I questioned the owner about it, she got very upset w/me. It was obviously inflated. I did use the company. The movers were great and professional and quick! Not what I was expecting. When I was handed the bill, it did not include the 10% off I was promised. I asked the owner why and she got very irrate and began yelling at me. Very nice people, but they arrived later than agreed to for the estimate and failed to deliver a quote. Guess they did not want our business.
