I have bought many tickets through LiveNation/Ticketmaster, and I have seen many shows both at different venues belonging to the NC Music Factory as well as other places around Charlotte. I have never run into a problem until I went to the Ellie Goulding concert on Thursday, 6/9. My best friend and I had lawn seats and had been in our spots since about 6pm. Very relaxed place to see a band. Every spot is a great seat, even when you are up getting a beer and just hanging out by the fence.
Awful. Their automated phone line says you can bring umbrellas and lawn chairs...we got there and they made us check them at the gate. When I asked why their phone line said we could bring them in, they said 9" chairs maximum and that I should have known because of the loudspeaker at the venue. I said you'd have to be here to hear that. Thats not what it says to this day on the line. We got in and their rentals were sold out. We had to stand the entire show out on the lawn with no umbrella. Very frustrating.
The venue website has zippo info on parking and on items you can't bring in and no information on handicapped accessibility. We got there and were told there were only 9 handicapped parking spaces and they were gone. In the regular lot we used we almost ran over a chunk of rock the size of a football. We made it down the hill and to the gate and found out that our chairs were not allowed. Only those short little chairs are allowed. Not for me with my back and knees. The whole thing sucked.
