This place is a waste of time trying to get an appointment is impossible, they don't read medical records prior to responding to your messages as for the front desk receptionists they sit there as if Veterans are a huge problem to them not helpful at all, this seems to be common at these locations in Maryland/ DC
I am on my second physicians assistant, the first having been the most condescending, least compassionate health “professional” I’ve seen. Not a great look for my first ever interaction with the VA. I have never talked to an actual doctor and neither PA seemed to give a darn. Lots of questions, no offer to do anything like issue or fill prescriptions, schedule labs, schedule appointments or make referrals. The VA itself has had nurses call, and they’ve bent over backwards to try to assist. Not the case with the clinic.
The people in dental are fantastic, and very patient-oriented. When I had two appointments the same day, one at 11 and a cleaning at 1:00, the hygienist asked me if I wanted to have the cleaning immediately after the 11, and delayed her lunch until after my earlier appointment so I wouldn’t have to wait around.
