Do not bother to worry about reservations; this popular upcountry eatery does not take them. It packs in the crowds as they come. If you have a large party, be prepared to wait during busy times. Charlie's is one of those places you have to hit up when you visit Maui. Food is good, service is ok. I'm a bar owner and am always surprised at how the servers aren't really warm and inviting. They aren't rude or disrespectful they just don't engage their customers. You get a "hi how are you" but not much else.
Charles staff is outgoing with great service! They offer a wonderful breakfast option
