Classy Place This place has some of the most amazing (and expensive) food in Norman. However, it's worth it. The burgers here are the best burgers that I've ever had. The whole thing is freshly-cooked, and you can taste it. The restaurant is also dimly lit and exudes a quiet atmosphere that is appropriate for both your family and your business associates. If you want to impress some of your friends or coworkers, take them to Charlestons. PROS: Business-like atmosphere and delicious food. CONS: Can be very expensive.
Patron We like to eat in the bar area fairly early in the evening 5-6pm. After 6pm one can't find a decent table and the restaurant is chaotic. Staff is college age, but fairly well trained, food is adequate, but not fine dinning, although the prices are. The bartenders generally know how to mix a drink and don't skimp on ingredients. We have to send food back on occasion, but it is not the norm. A quantity first, quality second type of restaurant, but if one knows what to order it can be a pleasant experience.
Good food, but pricey We were actually very impressed by the food here; it was all delicious and we left satisfied. However, the prices were not in line with the atmosphere and menu. The food may be a bit better than Chili's, but I can't justify paying what they ask for just about the same thing.
Overpriced...Be prepared to have your car towed I have eaten at Charleston's many times over the years. My recent experience will be my last. The menu has been narrowed down, with some of their best meals eliminated. Prices are in the fine dining range, which is too high for a casual (and loud) restaurant. A favorite! Love, love, love this restaurant! I take guests here all the time and we've never had a bad dish, no matter what they choose. Great service, and a great value.
Tasty and cozy We have been to Charleston's countless times. The Charleston's burger will get my vote every time. My husband goes for the ribs and chicken. No matter what you're in the mood for, Charleston's will have it, along with a nice cozy atmosphere. The service staff is great and the prices won't shock you.
Love the atmosphere!! I took my boyfriend here for dinner one night because he had never eaten here and I knew he would love it! There are a few things I like about this place, first off is the excellent food, the second is that you are never without a drink! That is one thing that always bothers me about other places, and you don't have to worry when eating here! They serve great salads, and the servings are very generous. The prices are perfect!
Charlestons for Best Ribs Ever A very comfortable cozy atmosphere with both booths and tables. Dimly lit for evening enjoyment. Everyone is very friendly and service is great. We were introduced to their Ribs and they are to die for. We've tried ribs at other establishments but not any more. Can't be beat! Charlestons is our favorite restaurant since moving to Indy 10 years ago. Recommend reservations on special days.
excellent food a little on the pricey side, but great tasting food. service is usually pretty good. it can get a bit noisy on the busy nights, but otherwise a romantic atmosphere. their potatoe soup is the best i've ever had!
