I had to wait over 90 minutes for my appointment. They blamed it on a new system. Then they sent prescription to wrong pharmacy - didn’t tell me insurance would not cover the Rx. Ordered an MRI and said imaging specialists would call to schedule. I waited 2 weeks heard nothing. Called the office - again they blamed it on new system as to why they never sent the order in. I am writing a review for the physical therapy side of Charleston Sports Medicine. Specifically my prior therapist Sue Harter. This review has taken me 2 years to write. I had a SLAP tear in 2014.I had a revision surgery 5 weeks after seeing Sue Harter. I attribute the revision surgery due to aggressive PT by Ms Harter. According to my surgeon I was to have one on one sessions with Ms Harter. I wish I didn't have to leave a bad review, I did have some good experiences here but unfortunately the billing practices are over the top. I paid cash up front every visit for a long string of services and then get notified 10 months later that they think I owe more money out of the blue. Not that I'd expect to feel like I got my moneys worth out of any healthcare practice, but this place felt like excessive gouging. I'd go elsewhere in the future.
The doctors at Charleston Sports Medicine are some of the best around, and I can't say anything but good things about them. Dr. Bright McConnell, and Dr. Eric Friedman, do the right thing by every patient. I just recently saw Dr. Friedman and he did a knee injection for me, he's trying to keep me from having a knee replacement. This man knows how to read an ultrasound and he did it in the most professional way possible. I have complete confidence in him and I definitely would not go to anyone else.
