Sales agent: incompetent, unresponsive, unable to find truthful answers to basic questions. Only response we ever got for their screw ups were "we're sorry", sorry did not fix our current situation. Builder: lacked the ability to hold contractors and laborers to DR Horton standard leading to an unfinished home with multiple problems after moving in. Caulking on wood stairs? I was promised a refund of my deposit but instead they sent me a release form and had me sign that so they can keep my deposit of several thousand dollars. Please be sure you to be incredibly through on anything you sign if you decide to not buy one of their homes. Sad to be this dishonest and set people back even further in a time where it feels nearly impossible to get a home.
Buyer beware: substandard shingles were used and won’t make it through even a minor storm. And they won’t stand behind their work.
You are destroying the low country and much of the United States one acre at a time. I actively tell folks to avoid you and the other national builders building cookie cutter abominations. What yall continue to do is ecological terrorism imo. The spread of non-native invasives follow just about every project I see. The soil from fill and build takes from vital areas and destroys natural watersheds and floods others. I don't know how D R Horton gets any permits. This isn't right. What I see isn't right. AWFUL EXPERIENCE FOR NEW HOME BUYERS! I purchased a new build January 4th 2023. The day of my closing I contacted the builder after noticing a crack in the concrete of my driveway. I have been told they would take care of this under my 1 year warranty from the builder as well as the customer service representative Jake for the entirety of my 1 year home warranty.
