Dr. Charles Griffen is the best ophthalmologist locally that I’ve gone to. He is thorough, careful to explain everything to my understanding, and very knowledgeable. He makes recommendations based on a full knowledge of the disease process and treatments available. His staff are also knowledgeable and highly trained. Great practice in a great location.
I don't know how to Thank Dr. Griffen. I took my daughter to her first eye appointment and he noticed an abnormal finding. He took me aside and explained the whole thing and said he would write her doctor. When we went to CHOP they said it was VERY rare for an optometrist to catch this. After testing, she was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease that is usually not identified until there is irreversible organ damage. We are incredibly grateful to him for catching this. I have been a patient for over 15 years. Excellent service and a great staff from scheduling to glasses and contact delivery!
I had long association with Dr Griffin for regular Eye checkup and treatment of myself and my family and has been highly satisfied with results and recommendations.
Careful, detail-oriented, and truly listens to patients. Never seems rushed, and responds immediately to emergencies .He has been my Dr. For about 18 years - just wonderful!
I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Griffen. I've been seeing him for over 20 years and find him very thorough, very trustworthy. His office staff is very friendly and professional. I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes for my visit.
My daughter had a comprehensive eye examine but did not have her contacts so I was told to make an appointment so the doctor could check them, I was told that there would be NO charge for that since I paid the full amount during first visit. When my daughter returned from appointment she was charged a 30.00 fee which is VERY irritating considering that I was told and I asked on initial visit that the second appointment would be at NO CHARGE. Feeling very taken advantage of,not returning!

Our average wait time is less than 5 minutes, the staff is extremely friendly and courteous and our office has always received ratings of 4-5 stars across the board. I think you assessed us harshly simply because you had to pay a fee for the contact lens assessment, something that isn't part of a routine eye exam covered by your insurance.
