I should have posted this years ago to dissuade others from seeing Higgins. 7-8 years ago, I went to Dr. Higgins for help with an anxiety disorder, I was basically an adult child. He put me on an anxiety medication that I requested after doing my own research and finding meds I thought would help. And they did. When it came time that I wanted to stop (albeit after having a scare where I lost my meds), he asked "what do you want to do?" When I originally started seeing Dr.Higgins he was wonderful,staff not so much. Over time it seems he became disinterested in his patients and oath to "DO NO HARM". Suboxone treatment is expensive and gives Doctors an abuse of power because you must pay cash. In my opinion, He sold out to opiates himself. If you want a mental health professional that never looks at you or asks how you're doing and gives you refills. He's your man. However, for recovering addicts this is not a good plan of action.
