I LOVE Dr Wakefield, makes you comfortable & walked you through everything. Makes an effort to talk to you.
He is awesome. I have been going to him for the last 4 yrs. He listens to you and your concerns. One of the best in the City!
I agree, that Dr Wakefield is not the guy to go to for menopause or perimenopausal issues. I also had the random mystery biopsy. Still not sure why he did that. I also felt rushed and like he just didn't have time to listen. gave me the impression on several occasions that my concerns were silly. Seemed too busy and pretty judgmental. I really tried, but I was never comfortable with him.
Never read my chart as he didn't seem to have any knowledge of my case. But he did run a bunch of needless tests...one a very painful biopsy without any medication or knowledge of what or why he was doing it. I almost passed out from the pain. I saw him 3 times for menopause....he has zero knowledge on this...left his office crying the last two times...never again.
Seem almost shy when he started his practice, but I have been with him since the beginning of his practice as a GYN patient, and he now is just the opposite. I had gone to a GYN/OB doc for 30 years until he retired, and as a RN was picky. I am so glad to have found Dr. Wakefield.
Arrogant. Doesn't listen. Not compassionate. Should realize that when you complain about a patient to the nurse or intern, it reflects on the nurses face and behavior. Needs to learn empathy. I'm still having a problem, but never going back.
Wonderful doctor! Takes time to listen to what you have to say , gives great advice , and the wait time is very low. Would recommend him to everyone!
