Referred to him by my Dermatologist for melanomaremoval. He completely misread the biopsy report, told my husband and I that it was too involved for him and referred us to another surgeon. Spoke of possible lymph node involvement and 70% survival rate. We were floored and upset. Spoke w/ my Dermatologist who reassured me-also went to Duke Melanoma clinic which stated same as my Dermatologist ( very early- no worry of lymph node involvement).
Dr. Kays and his staff were so fantastic when I had my breast reduction done last month. Dr. Kays answered all my questions and put me at ease. My recovery has been easy and painless. I am so grateful!
My experience was beyond awful. I was told a tram flap was the best way to go. I had a mastectomy,reconstruction and a breast reduction. When I complained about a burning and soreness I was told it was just the healing process. My reconstruction opened at the nipple sight and it oozed heavily for over a year.I have had part of that breast removed because it “died’.I have also had a hernia operation that dr Kay’s thought “was not that bad”. Met with quite a few doctors to discuss surgery. Crazy time to do it during pandemic, but Dr. Kays and staff too incredible care of me! Only negative is I wish I would've done it sooner!!!!! Don't wait! Schedule with him!
Very good experience with Dr. Kay's, his staff, the procedure, and the results.
It was a nightmare. I lost so much blood I needed two bags to save me. All along Dr Kay’s telling the nurse I lost minimal blood during surgery. I then had narcotic breast and had wound care for six months with my breast scarred and deformed. I was told that a tram flap would be the best way to go. Now are you telling me there are no mess ups with Dr Kay’s just amazing adoration? Give me a break
My self confidence is restored! Such a professional caring clinician, Dr Kays truly works closely with a stellar team of individuals and runs a phenomenal practice. It was never an inconvenience to change an appt time, to call with a question and each person I encountered gave sound information. It was very clear that meeting their patients needs is their priority. Thankful to each one on his team- would recommend to friends, family and other medial professionals seeking these services!
Dr.Kays was professional throughout my treatment. He made sure to find out what I needed and he accomplished the goal. He Is personable, kind and one heck of a surgeon!
