This was the most expensive service for any plumbing job we had over our 17 years as homeowners. I honestly wish the plumber had been transparent and discussed the cost ( which was not done) beforehand. I should have asked as well. Had I known what the total cost would be, I would have went with someone else. Even with the cost of material the hourly rate ( if there was one) was almost three hundred dollars an hour. I know some plumbers charge hourly and some charge by the job. I was just shocked and surprised at the cost.
