I purchased a 2008 Suburu Outback from Sheridan Ford a year ago. I brought the car to a mechanic to have it looked at and they said the head gaskets were leaking. I brought it back to Sheridan and asked them to give me more of a break on the price and they said no. They told me the engine was in good condition when I bought it. Now its in the shop with a blown head gasket and I am looking at $2,400 in repairs. Might actually be $3,300 if the catalytic converter is shot. Don't do business here. Not exactly the best place to shop for a vehicle. I traveled a rather far distance to check out a few vehicles in their selection. Over the phone and online the salesmen were aggressive and eager to inform me about the vehicles. When I decided to show up to check out some of the vehicles we had spoke of they seemed to have the opposite reaction and be not so welcoming to me (which I will explain in further detail). DO NOT WASTE your time at this place!! Read reviews online. They are sleezy. We made a deal with a salesman, APR was approved, we faxed our registration card to the salesman,all paperwork was a go. We drove an hour and a half from Reading PA to pick up the car the following day an hour after the dealer opened (and the time they were expecting us) and were told that the manager sold the car that morning. Do yourself a BIG favor, go to Porter Ford. I would say no stars but then it would just look like I didn't rate them. I'm not a former employee or anything like that, just a customer that will never go back. Seriously, go to Porter, Newark just isn't that far away.
