Living at Chapins proved to be a nightmare. We constantly had to fill out maintenance requests that would take a long time to fulfill. most of these maintenance requests were easy and I didn’t mind the wait time. However, in July, in record high heats, our AC went out. It was out for over a month. We had to get an airbnb one day because they were not responding and it was 90 degrees in our apartment. I wouldn't touch this place again with a 10 foot pole, even if you paid me to live here. Lots of lousy excuses for why things can't be done. Mold, mice and roaches galore. The office is impossible to contact because they are inundated with the amount of tenants who have significant issues in their units. To anyone searching this place in the future, please do yourself a favor and do not move here. The first red flag, which I really regret ignoring, was that the actual unit we were assigned was still occupied. Because of that, they told us we could only tour the model unit. The model was nothing fancy, but it looked clean enough and we thought it would work for us, so we signed the lease. Huge mistake. Greatest experience ever we love everybody in the office
So, I'm super unhappy with my time at Chapins Landing. Ever since I moved in, I've had a ton of problems, mostly with the AC. It's constantly broken – sometimes it doesn't work at all, leaks, or just runs non-stop. I tried contacting maintenance through the app, phone, and email, but they totally ignored me. I ended up having to call code enforcement, and the "fix" they did was just foam, flex seal, and tape. The AC still runs constantly unless I flip the breaker.
