I’ve lived in this apartment for over four years. The management sucks. They’re rude. They don’t help you with anything. They talk down to you. They don’t fix anything. Everything is falling apart. They allow some people to do certain things and not others. They swear one minute, they’re on the parking towing cars the next minute they don’t care what you do. Living at Portola has not been the most positive however the maintenance team (Andy) is fantastic and prompt and is always happy to answer any additional questions I have during any of the visits.
2.75 stars - Renting at Portola West was (and still is) an experience filled with miscommunication and inconsistencies. From the start, the leasing process lacked clarity. I was initially told that viewings were by appointment only and was turned away when I arrived as a walk-in. However, after paying the application fee, I was suddenly allowed to visit whenever I wanted. This set the tone for the rest of my interactions with the leasing office. Management is very rude. Not the best apartments to live in. Flooring material is crappy, carpet is super thin, doors are cheap, cabinets are just painted white, they chip off when being cleaned, the hardware on them gets loose, toilet holders are cheap and plastic and peal off easy, toilets are wobbly, seats covers are not tighten correctly, bathtub wall tile is not the best, especially with the grouting, grouting job all around the entire apts looks like a 5year old did them, shitttty and what seems to be fast paint job
