This has been our priority place to eat when visiting Harbor/Brookings for 25 years! Best food, always fresh, large portions. Many years ago, it appeared to be a middle aged couple running the restaurant, with a grandmother and two children chopping vegetables and helping to deliver drinks to the tables. I’ve been going to Chan’s whenever I visit Brookings since I was 8 years old. The food is always great, the portions are generous, and the staff is super friendly. The Mar Far sauce is a family favorite! Can’t wait to go back to Brookings and have Chan’s for 2-3 meals a day!
Came here for years. Normally amazing portions when eating in. Ordered ‘to go’ tonight. Half of what you get when you stay and eat. Amazing food but not when they charge the same and cut portions. Spoke to them, they said “that’s normal portions”

We were pretty jazzed to find Chan's, and right next to our other fave restaurant, Fat Irish. This is the one of the best little restaurants in town, mainly because they do what they do GREAT. We're addicted to the BIG bowls of hot and sour soup. We split an order of veggie chow yuk and a pot of tea. Or miso soup and one of many chicken dishes. BBQ Pork was excellent and the rest of the food we ordered was delicious. Chow mien was not what I was used to but taste was good.
