This rescue has the best volunteers who love horses! I love volunteering here because everyone is so kind. These people truly love horses and care for their well being
I am so glad I started volunteering at changing leads. I go 2 times a week and enjoy the horses and the people. It is some good old fashioned muck work but you also get to spend time with the amazing horses who need love too. It is the best volunteer work I've been apart of and will continue until I am no longer able. �
Changing Leads is one of my favorite places in Kansas City! I volunteered with my daughter because she was not 18 when she started and loved it so much i continued after she turned 18. The board and other volunteers have a real heart to help the horses. Don't get me wrong there is some work in mucking a stall, but for me it was a blast. Each horse has their own personality, loved them all but I did have my favorite horses, Tigger and Sammy. And on the human side Melissa is simply the best. Love this place. Been volunteering there for a few months when I can. Love helping and you can feel the horses there appreciate it.
Changing Leads saved my horse's life after I found out he was being abused by the woman who was "caring " for him. God bless them and their loving volunteers.
