This is a health service provided for mostly senior care, and those with disabilities. It is disheartening to read the reviews from 7-5-3 years ago that the same issues still continue. Senior people cannot follow-up with their calls, whether they did their jobs, that is what the coordinator should be doing, coordinating. Saying, "I placed a call I dont know when you'll hear back" to a senior person just after surgery for wound care is not acceptable. I left three messages over two weeks to request they send a request to the PSW agency for my diabetic foot care, still waiting a response
Rude! My spouse was supposed to receive homecare after surgery, to change his wound dressing. No one's shown up. days after we receive a call to schedule a visit. They then "require him to attend the clinic for wound dressing" How is this possible, they've instructed him to stay home to heal, and not to drive! Rude ignorant staff that have no empathy or compassion for those in need. Their voicemail says that violent or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated, that should go two ways! Unfortunately, we have been waiting since June for PSW support for my 83 year old father. He has had multiple falls, mobility issues as well as cognitive issues. No accountability, we have been given false promises and frankly feel like this will never get sorted out.
I called a few minutes ago. As I was explaining my difficulty and y I am having them, I was interrupted and told the services r not for that and what it was for. I interrupted the receptionist to say I was calling for what she described. I was told not to interrupt her. I told her she interrupted me without hearing what I wanted. After a long pause she asked for my health card. I told her no and disconnected. That's autocratic service to vulnerable ppl. I want no part of it. I prefer to continue to die alone and in need.
