This was my 1st tattoo, since i had no experience I researched many of the studios, looked at the artist's work, etc. I chose Chalice mainly because I liked Ben Sanchez's artistic style. Ben did an amazing job turning my description into beautiful artwork and a stunning tattoo that reflects the meaning it has for me. Got a tattoo here about a year ago. Had Derek as the artist. It was my first tattoo, so I went to one of the best shops expecting a good experience, right? Yeah no. I got the Studio Ghibli logo. The Totoro head and the first two Japanese characters look fine, although he was very heavy handed and as other artists have put it delicately “it looks like he was trying to carve it into your skin, not tattoo it”.
