I recently purchased a Jeep Renegade from Merle Stone Chevrolet in Porterville, CA. It had, at that time, a very small chip in the windshield that I could see two small cracks emanating from the chip that were only about 1/8th of an inch long. One drive on Morton Avenue while they had just grated the road for resurfacing and the cracks grew to about 6-8 inches long.
