Chadaka Thai

About this business

Hip, inventive Thai eatery brings an Eastside vibe to downtown Burbank. Nestled in the heart of the Burbank Village you will find the first Valley outpost from the family that brought you Chao Krung, tuk-tuk & Rambutan. Deep browns contrast with creamy whites in the dining area; the half-moon frosted glass bar and lounge stick to the darker hue. Kimono-style silk patchwork lines the cathedral ceilings and adds a hint of color. The menu includes staples like noodles and curries, as well as specialties like rib-eye steak with ... read more

Great bar. – An all glass 1/2 circle bar glows white as a glowing blue Buddha looks down. Martini's flow with a large selection of Vodka. Beers aren't forgotten, 20 or so from all reaches of the world. My favorite, Hoegarden (Belgium). The Mango Mojito is quite good also. The food is high quality and from 4 - 7 M-F there's a happy hour.

Great place for burbank – Given that the san fernando strip on burbank doesn't have a lot of unique places, this offers a nice modern decor at a reasonable price. At least you don't feel like it is p.f. chang or california pizza kitchen. Easily a crowd pleaser, this is a good place for business lunch or a nice dinner. If you want to go with a group over 4 people, I would suggest making reservations, since it is not a big space. But of course, if you are an authentic thai food snob, this is not the place for you.

Wonderful – Nothing but great things to say. The food, design and service was beyond my expectations. Can't wait for my next visit.

Where was the service? – I saw 9.8 rating and was expecting a lot. What I got a a good beer list and a good selection of Thai food ruined by poor service. I was the only table outside on a Friday early evening and was pretty much forgotten. I had 2 wait staff, but it took 15 mins to get service, but only after I got up and went inside to drag someone to our table. It might be to do with the staff being young and unprof, or may be it was due to the male waiter being more concerned with his makeup instead of waiting duties?! I... read more

Beautiful Staff, wonderful food. – A long time resident of Burbank, and now a devoted fan of Chadaka Thai at 310 N. San Fernando Blvd in The Media Center. The food is always top notch, and the service is outstanding. The staff is warm and easy on the eyes. I'll be back, a lot! Try the curry, it's perfection on a plate.

...wow. – I just got back from lunch and I have to say, I had the best Chicken Panang I've ever had in my life. The soup and salad were great, and the Steamed Wonton Bundles were terrific, but the Panang was simply out of this world! The prices are very reasonable. I've been to Tuk Tuk and I actually find Chadaka better. The food was brought out at just the right times. I can't wait to try dinner there! We parked in the large parking stucture across the street so parking was a snap. I will definitely return!

Consistently good – As a Burbank resident for 23 years, I was really excited when this place opened. Finally some good Thai food in a cool, hip atmosphere! The martini list is awesome, the food is consistently good, and the service is good. If you're vegetarian, you're in luck. They will make any dish vegetarian style, including soups in which they will use vegetable stock in instead of chicken/beef stock. If you don't eat fish, they will skip oyster sauce in their pad thai if you ask them to. Another great factor: there is ... read more

There's no judgement here. – Shining down from a crystal Buddha that sits above the bar at Chadaka Thai. I'm emmersed in my ritual of glutony and self exploration. With every blissful bite I'm judged, do I deserve such a wonderful meal? Is five beers too many? Buddha looks down reasuring me...there is no judgement here. Hot Damn. Rub my belly, that's a good start n self exploration. After I finish my fifth beer, I give my respects to "The Big Guy" and stumble home, ready for my next step towards self exploration. Don't judge... read more
