Hip, inventive Thai eatery brings an Eastside vibe to downtown Burbank. Nestled in the heart of the Burbank Village you will find the first Valley outpost from the family that brought you Chao Krung, tuk-tuk & Rambutan. Deep browns contrast with creamy whites in the dining area; the half-moon frosted glass bar and lounge stick to the darker hue. Kimono-style silk patchwork lines the cathedral ceilings and adds a hint of color. The menu includes staples like noodles and curries, as well as specialties like rib-eye steak with ... read more

Yum! – We thought this was a world apart from the other Thai restaurants in the area.. well worth the slightly expensive parking price! We will be going back again and again. A+++
The perfect Saturday evening in Burbank. – After reading the LA Times review I thought I'd wait and give it a try after all the buzz had subsided. Well the place isn't as busy as I anticipated, but it should be. My wife and I arrived at 8:30 on Saturday, it was crowded but not CROWDED. The food was wonderful and the waitress was perfect. The decor is unlike anything else in Burbank. Everything we had was superb, we'll see you there again soon if anyones reading this. Also, we saw Broken flowers, finally a movie that doesn't ... read more
You call this Thai food? What a joke! – If you're looking for a nice place to chill and people watch, then this is a good choice. But if you're looking for real, actual GOOD Thai food, then this is NOT the place to go to. Other than their Curry Dumpling Tapa, everything was terrible. The Salmon was tasteless - the curry didn't even penetrate the surface of the fish, the beef musamun was horrible - (You want real musamun, try Indra's ) - the coconut soup was also bland and the grilled beef in the Beef Waterfall too tough. Totally Impressed – Unlike the previous reviewer, we had a wonderful experience. We've been to Thailand every year since 1982 and the food here at Chadaka is excellent. This is the fourth restaurant from one of the oldest Thai families in Hollywood. Chao Krung was the first of the four, it opened back in the 70's. The Head Chef at Chadaka is "Auntie Tim", noted by The Los Angeles Times as one of the best Thai chefs in the US (1999).
HAPPY HOUR – FInally Burbank has a sophisticated, chic envronment to spend some time at after work. 1/2 price appetisers, beers, house wines and well cocktails with $5 specialty martini's and 1/2 price bootles of wine on Tuesdays. The staff is great, I've been going for months and the food, delicious.
ON THE MONEY! – After reading the glowing review in the Los Angeles Times and visiting the Citysearch site I was sold. The pear salad was the best salad I've ever had...no kidding. The waitress was beautiful and attentive, my Sauvignon Blanc was perky yet unprecocious, and the lamb was outstanding. Parking can be a b@%ch, try the lot behind the restaurant on Palm.
Lovely evening – My husband and I enjoyed it very much. Other than the parking problems on a Friday night, we found the food and service to be excellent. Martini's are a bit expensive for Burbank, but the restaurants decor sets it apart and makes the $9 bareable. The problem is you drink 6 between the two of you and your bill gets rather high. That's the price you pay for being a lush.
Home away from home. – It's getting harder and harder to make it home after work anymore. The people at Chadaka Thai are so warm and welcoming that it's become my second home. The food is terrific, the drinks are strong and the staff is kind and beautiful. A 10 hour work day couldn't have a better ending than an evening at Chadaka Thai.
It's not all that – Hmmmm, after reading the glowing reviews I'm left wondering if we were there on an off night or the owner's have a loyal following who posted. When I walked in to the restaurant there was a young man outside, walking in at the same time as I was - I figured he was a patron, but as he reluctantly greeted me I realised he worked there. Service was slow, unfriendly and twice we were brought drinks and appetizers that belonged to the table next to us. Mango mohito, while tasty, was weak. Crab noodle dish a bi... read more
