Chaco’s is a pretty solid Mexican taco truck. They’re often parked outside of Societe Brewing on Clairemont Mesa at the edge of Kearny Mesa and the 163 freeway. The owner is a friendly guy who’s down to earth and fun. I ordered a California burrito and my brother ordered a surf & turf burrito. My Cali was pretty solid, and came with guacamole without any extra charge which was nice. The salsas were pretty good, but I think I preferred the salsa verde. The carne asada was tender but not enough flavor for my taste, HOWEVER, would totally come back to get more carnitas tacos though!!! Get the carnitas! Suuuuper juicy and full of flavor! Perfect with a cold beer from Societe Brewing Company nextdoor.
