I've known about Chabot for awhile. I finally shot there with my relatives. I've never had any problems with the staff as long as you abide by the rules. They exist for everyone's safety. If you can't, take some lessons on range etiquette or just simply leave- I have been in a few ranges both military and civ. And can say, they're not that strict. Too bad they're closing. Love the facility. Unfortunate that they close in March.
I will always support gun ownership but I'm not sad this place is closing. Never been to a place where the range masters are such pricks. Every 15 minutes they are screaming and yelling at someone else for absolute nonsense "infractions". They even yelled at my father for not wearing an ear plug in an ear that he is deaf in. Did not care that he had a cancerous tumor removed and they couldn't save his hearing. They threatened to kick all 4 of us out when we stood up for him. Goodbye and good riddance.
Great safe and well run range. Support it and keep this range open for all.
Great place in a great location, My 1st time there was about 10years ago! Been coming ever since. Have friends and family who I've taken with me to shoot and loved it. There's plenty of room, professional staff and you meet good people there. Got to go back soon!
