Came here during what looked like a slow time, and I was brought in pretty quickly. The nursing staff was all kind and efficient, and the doctor I saw was very informative.
The treatment my sister ( Maysa Vaz) received at (CHA Emergency Cambridge ) on Thursday, September 11, 2025 was absolutely unacceptable. After she waited for hours in the middle of the night, the attending doctor Golien G Safain delivered life-altering news in the most cold, dismissive way imaginable. Still waiting 2 hours to see a doctor. They are fast to send in someone from billing though.
Here's my story as to why the staff at this ER needs to be retrained on policies and procedures. I arrived at the ER after a fall from my stairs which broke my ankle. I arrived via ambulance in extreme pain. Five minutes after arrival I was placed in a room where I met a nurse. The nurse removed the splint the EMS had placed. She was rough and I had to ask her to hold my ankle while removing the splint as my ankle couldnt support itself and was hurting beyond words. The staff here are great, but they have very shady business practices. It’s pretty despicable when you need to charge patients for parking. $10 Dollars on top of the thousands they grafted me for for a 2 hour ER visit.
