In February 2020, I replaced all the windows and sliding doors in my seasonal home in Key West, Florida with CGI impact-resistant glass. The windows have held up well and offer a clean, attractive appearance. However, the sliding doors have had a recurring issue that’s been frustrating. We bought $24,000 in doors from CGI/Lowes. Doors installed Feb. 11, 2025. The interior trim on one of the French doors was to small. (does anyone at CGI own a tape measure?) Contacted Lowes that day. Have been on a merry-go-round between Lowes and CGI about getting this trim ever since. Many, many calls and NO ONE is doing anything. All they do is email each other! I have sold this house and need the door finished NOW. I will never buy another CGI product or a custom order from Lowe's. I can't believe all of the bad reviews!... read more
Quality control is really missing at CGI. It's unclear how they even feel remotely ok delivering these windows to customers. They look horrible. Powder coating is a mess. There is glue all over the glass. The only saving grace is yet to be determined - will they actually withstand a hurricane. If this is our example for manufacturing in the United States, good God we need to offshore more jobs. Clearly not one employee cares what they deliver. Pitiful.
Ordered windows for my customer in Lowe’s. They came damaged looks like delivery company. They did not care to send me soon like possible replacement so the home it’s finished for weeks but windows. I was contacting Lowe’s to push them for rush order and they did not care. This 4 weeks still have no windows. Screen for patio door was damaged too.
