DO NOT GO HERE! I have worked with many doctors in my career and have never seen such UNETHICAL and UNPROFESSIONALISM by any doctor such as this one. Dr. De Leon only cares about numbers and not his actual patients. At one point stating to me that he "did not have time to read all the patient notes", because he has "too many patients". This was his excuse for missing my fathers diagnosis of Leukemia over a year ago!! He does not follow up on his patients as he should.
Dr. DeLeon was okay. But he gave me 5 days worth of prednisone knowing that my next appointment was 30 days away. I left a voicemail on Monday. The outgoing message said that all voicemails would be returned the same day. I still haven't heard back. I left another voicemail this morning. It's 5:22 pm and nothing. To make a long story short, he's fired.
Business response:
Prednisone is not a medication that is safe to take for a long time. I do write for 5 days of medication at a time. Some patients are under the care of specialist and are prescribed for longer periods under very close surveillance, but not at a FM Office. I can't tell you why the message was not responded to on time, but please do call during regular office hours to explain to you why we protected your health by not giving you 30 days supply.
