Great service. Friendly. Reliable. Honest. Gary once came to a house I was renting looked at the chimney said it had already been cleaned and charged me nothing. Who does that? Great guy!
I just had them stop out today to inspect my chimney. I had a 1 pm. appointment and they were exactly on time. I told them that I had not burned wood in my fireplace for approx. 15 years but I wanted to see if it needed cleaned. After inspecting my fireplace, the owner told me that it was very clean and that I did not need to have it cleaned. I had a problem with my damper. Gary from Century Chimney Inc. suggested I install a new stainless steel damper that operates at the top of my chimney, by pulling a cord down below by the fireplace opening. This thing works great, and I no longer have cold air gushing into my living room in the winter. I found him on centurychimney.com . I didn't check prices before hiring him, but I did check after, and some other sweep wanted $500 for the same thing that these guys did for $325. Would definitely recommend them. I really like that the owner shows up! His name is Gary Spolar, and he works with a gentleman named Greg, that has been his best friend since childhood. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and kept my white carpet spotless! I was told be a previous company I hired that I needed thousands of dollars worth of work on my chimney, but Gary gave me a clean bill of health.
