My wife went in for emergency surgery after transport by ambulance. We are uninsured (by choice) and after the surgery were quoted an uninsured discount which they later would not honor since it wasn't arranged before services were provided. Would they have given less services if it were? I paid the quoted discounted price right away, but when contacted about the non-honored balance, I said I would pay the remainder after other providers that provided discounts were paid. I've been sent to collections. Very disappointing.
