Like the other reviewers, I too was not allowed to return when I dared to get a second opinion before allowing my child to have a major procedure involving several teeth and the possibility of general anesthesia. On my initial visit, Dr Davis cheerfully informed me that the problem with my child's teeth was that I had given him milk to drink, which he did not need and I'd be better off giving my Coke, and that I had "inoculated" him with my germs when he was a baby by kissing. Dr Crisp is a nice guy, don't get me wrong, but his staff is absolutely horrible. The last few times I went there his staff was rude and inconsiderable towards my young daughter's health needs. It took me two months to reschedule an appointment only to find out when I got there that it would require a hospital procedure due to her teeth decaying so fast since she has an enamel issue. My child then got ill a couple of days before the surgery and when I called to reschedule they informed me that she would call me back. After w... read more
Terrific service! Every time I have gone to a dentist the cleaning is always the worst part, with the hygienest always scraping my gums and hurting my teeth. However at this practice, Beth was exceptionally gentle and efficient. Terrific cleaning and the dentist was very thorough. I had an unbelievably wonderful experience. I had been suffering with mouth pain for a few years now, but dreaded going to the Dentist because I just knew they were going to have to pull teeth. So after my wife nagged me for an eternity I decided to just go ahead and go see a Dentist. I looked around online and decided I would give Boyd Thornton Dental a try, and I am glad I did because as it turns out all I needed was a good cleaning and a Filling. Never, ever, EVER take your child to Wise Dentistry for Kids! Dr. Wise caused my 8-year-old son LOTS of unnecessary pain and did not even consult with me on the course of his treatment. Horrible experience all around and my son will now forever be afraid of dentists thanks to her!
My teeth were aching for months after another dentist had not grinded down my fillings enough. Dr. Baechtold (who introduced herself as Lisette) made me feel very comfortable, listened to my complaint and fixed me right up. Her staff was up front about the cost since I'm a cash patient and they were not pushy to have me reschedule. I will definitely continue there for cleanings and anything else I may need.
Dr. Crisp is the best pediatric dentist ever! My son, who has a strong gag reflex, loves to go to Dr. Crisp. He is so good with children. I would recommend him above any other Lexington or Winchester dentists! We have been to a lot of them.
