Recently there was a change in management, it is noticeable that communication amongst team members has improved, and the overall atmosphere feels warmer and more welcoming. It’s reassuring to see such positive changes, and it’s clear that resident care and quality of life are a top priority.
I’ve recently visited Central Place in Owen Sound and noticed an impressive shift from my last visit. Since my visit I have been made aware they recently underwent a management change. Great news to have come by you can tell their impact is positive!
Since most of the good reviews are old, I decided I had to make a new review. From what I see since the new owners have taken over a few years ago this place has really gone downhill and has too many people who should be moved to long-term care where they are safe and not in a retirement home where they can wonder off in 35 degrees. My friend found an elderly lady just out front of my house with early onset dementia, didn't know where she came from, where she was going, or even her legal name, only her maiden name. A beautiful facility with amazing residents but unfortunately management alongside most of the staff working there make it an unbearable, uncomfortable and toxic environment to be in. The ratio of residents, to staff working is never suitable for everything that they require us to do, not to mention a retirement home with that many people needing long term is dangerous in many ways than one.
