Experience and Safey first – My sweet shih tzu was traumatized and hurt -physically at another (really reputable) groomer in the city. I struggled to find a groomer that would handle my puppy with patience and care. A nice haircut is great--but for us, my dog's safety, well being and that she has a good experience is TOP priority. Horrible. I will never ever return here again – I asked Reda and his assistant NOT to trim anywhere on Maltese except for his paws, anal area and belly. I told them specifically that I wanted to grow his hair out. I even wrote it down on the blue card. They DID NOT bother listening to me and trimmed everywhere! I'm super pissed and feel so violated. I withdraw my comment. Reda called me personally and explained the situation and there was a huge miscommunication. Because of this experience, I respect Reda very much and would definitely return for his service.
Pricier than most, but 100% worth it – I took my dog to other places for a 'summer cut' and he looked ridiculous. So much so that I couldn't wait for his hair to grow back. But here, my dog looked adorable and he pranced down the sidewalk like a show dog. Very impressed and will definitely be back. I'm hooked on this place.
Central Park Pet Spa is AWESOME! – I started taking my baby Braxton here since he was 16 weeks. He is now 7 months and he loves it here and so do I. When we first arrived for the very first time, the receptionist really made me feel comfortable about leaving Braxton. A safe place to get your fur-baby groomed! – We love it here! Our Mimi gets top care when its time for her grooming! Natalie's great! Our first time here she made us feel very comfortable about leaving our little one here. They're are pricey but you're paying for piece of mind and a quality cut by Reda!
Could I BE more beautiful? – I'm a Bichon Poodle and I get my hair done here all the time - and when I do, the people on the street will not leave me alone! They want to pet me and take my picture because I am so beautiful. My sister who is an older dog goes here too and she says they are very gentle with her and she comes out looking great too. Best Groomer in NYC! – I have had dogs for many years and I have tried a number of different groomers in the city, but Reda and the staff at Central Park Pet Spa are by far the best I have experienced. My dogs love going there, and my Shih Tzu has had the best haircut there by a longshot. I feel very comfortable with them and I know they treat my dogs gently, safely and kindly. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know!
Pampered pooch – All of the haircuts are done by hand, no razors used. I have gone to groomers in the past and after being groomed, my dog would drag herself around the sidewalk since she was so itchy. This is the first time she just pranced out of the store and she felt and looked so clean. Also this is the only groomer I have heard that cleans teeth too! A big plus, hopefully more groomers will use Central Park Pet and Spa as the benchmark!
FLOUFF VOTES 5 STARS! – A terrific place! Clean, bright, cheerful. Great location. Good hours. My dog has become a repeat customer.
