Born in Chicago back when Maxwell street was like going to a market in Bangladesh this is the closest I've been to anything similar. Wonderful deals and vendors. Awesome treasures straight out of yesteryear. Totally plan to revisit.
This place is amazing if you love fresh Frits and vegetables. The local farmers that come to the market are very friendly plus knowledgeable. I always leave with to much stuff because the prices are good. I love seeing the chefs from my favorite restaurants there buying their ingredients.
Try to go when visiting my hubs hometown. It's the best market. There isn't any comparison to this one. I always find something, even if I'm never looking for anything specific.
