My son came home from school complaining that his arm was hurting. After looking at it it his arm upto his shoulder was swollen! He failed to tell us he took a hit at football and landed funky on it the day before. Dr. Lukens nurse got us right in and we were able to see that his growth plate possibly has an injury and Dr. Lukens explained everything to my 14 year old so that he could understand what was going on. So grateful for Dr. Lukens and his amazing staff.

Dr. Leukens was very professional from my consult to my post OP appointment. He explained things so I could understand and made sure I had all of my questions answered. I received a letter in the mail thanking me for choosing him. On surgery day, he offered to pray with me before we went in. During surgery, I was awake. As I watched, he walked me through step by step what he was doing. My post OP appointment was of the same nature. I would recommend him to anyone who needs hand surgery. The little things mean alot. They are prompt with a great staff. Dr. Sextro is a excellent surgeon who has done both shoulders and a hip surgery for me now that have put me together like a new man.
