I had a multi level diskectomy performed by Dr Abassi and i appreciate his one on one consults. He is very good at what he does and an asset to the Central Minnesota Spine Center. He explains the risks, as well as the rewards for the procedure. He then gives his explanation of his direction moving forward and helps understand completely why he is doing what he is doing. It sounds very simple, but not very common in the world of medicine these day.Thank you.
This Dr is I hate to say this but as close to a miracle worker as they come,I have 2 friends that were told by other surgons that they were inoprerable and now thay they were done by Dr kim they are by far 1000% better and I am currantly seeing him to repair nerve damage that was not taken care of by 2 prior surgurys....
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! The help at this clinic leaves MUCH to be desired. After only one cortisone epidural injection, physician assistant, Mr. Thomas referred me to the surgeon. Dr. Kim seemed like a competent surgeon and was fine with my decision to wait a few weeks before the surgery. A couple weeks after that consult, I requested a Tramadol refill two day early as I was going to be out of town. The PA Roger Thomas is absolutely a wonderful provider! Not only did he spend more time with my than most people but also found what my problem was immedately. I had been to 2 previous doctors, massage therapists and have been on muliple pain medicine. Mr. Thomas did a brief exam and found the problem gave me an injection and I have been pain free for over 8 months! If you are having problems and cant seem to find the solution Mr. Thomas may be your answer!
This doctor is a straight up quack. I think the last guy who wrote a comment must know him personally and saying nice things as a favor to him. He told my husband he didnt see anything wrong 3 times we went to him and a year later a REAL surgeon took a look at my husband and said his t11 disk is so far deteriorated that its been like this for years, he needs surgery on his L4 and L5 disks and that his lowest disk is fused to his tailbone from birth. What a straight up retarded Dr. This guy is so bad at what he does and I have personally heard alot more bad (horror stories) than good ever. He has buthcered people and has the Attny. Steve Drummond working with him to come up with lies and bullcrap. Dont let anyone fool you - Sunny Kim and Steve Drummond both get paid by workmans comp to work against you and not for you. I met Dr. Kim about 5 years ago or possibly more. I needed to have some work done on my back as I was having a lot of pain. At the time he was employed by The INstitute for Low Back and Neck Care in Minneaapolis, MN.. He did my spinal fusion at level L2-L3 and it was a complete success. 30 years ago, Dr. Lifson at the Low Back Institute performed my first laminectomy. 12 years ago, after a car accident, I was a high risk candidate and Dr. Kim literally gave me back my life when he performed my surgery. I had a three level anterior/posterior fusion and my life greatly improved. Its unlikely that when a person undergoes this extensive surgery that one achieves a life free of pain. This guy should have his medical licensure revoked permanently. He did a fusion on my L3-L4 area. After he released me, saying my fusion was 100% fused, I started having problems worse than before the fusion. I danced around through phone calls with Dr. Kim trying to get him to take another look. When he finally did get another MRI, he found the fusion did NOT heal and that I needed to have it re-done immediately.
