Well prepared for my appt. I had a pain block & it took care of the pain I was having.
I was referred to JWM from primary care in status migrainosus, presenting with an unusual migraine. I got in with a telemedicine visit with Dr. Marc Cohen, who didn't take me seriously, is arrogant, & condescending. I had to self-advocate for testing & he intially misdiagnosed me with small vessel disease (a condition of people in their 60s not late 30s) based on my weight. Do not recommend Dr. Howe. Was referred here due to my years of back pain (at least a decade) I arrived a half hour early as instructed. I waited passed my appointment time (20 minutes) and then was called back. The nurse who checked me in insisted that their receptionists had given me the wrong forms to fill out and that I was supposed to have gotten my intake forms in the mail (Never received) When the doctor finally came in, I rose to shake his hand he told me to sit. Took my grandmother here. She barely knows where she is from dementia. First thing he does is yell at her to get her attention and immediately brought her to tears. How are you going to be a specialist in this field and not even know the basics of dealing with people with these issues. He then shoved us out of his office in 5 minutes when it took 3 months to get in. The guy needs to lose his medical license...
