My teens and I had the best time on our tour. We saw marine life and learned a lot about the bay and the habitats it protects. Our guide, Jen B, was calm and knowledgeable and all around wonderful. I would certainly repeat this outting.
6-6-2026 We had a wonderful private paddle with Captain Craig. Craig was a great guide. He has an amazing wealth of knowledge and experience regarding Morro bay. He is a local, born and raised. It is obvious he loves his job and the environment.
Our group did a private kayaking trip (half day with lunch) and it was definitely one of the main highlights of my bachelorette weekend. I booked this in advance and it was relatively easy to do so online via the request form on the site. Everything went very well and we all had lots of fun doing this. They provide a lot of equipment, including dry bags, even a blanket to prevent splashes on you, and safety jackets for everyone even if you can't swim. Great experience with Central Coast Outdoors! First time visit to Morro Bay and first time kayaking with our 4 and 6 year old! Our guide, Katharina was very helpful and made this trip very memorable. The lunch on the sand dunes was great too! The kids have so much fun. If you are thinking of kayaking, definitely try a tour with them - so much information on the different sea life and birds. Saw lots of sea otters hanging around too.
We loved our kayaking experience and we love Jenn our guide! The Morro Bay Half Day Classic is a rewarding excursion to take when visiting the area. We were a small but mighty group of three. I do suggest getting some water shoes and if you have them binoculars. Jenn did a great job preparing us before shoving off. She created a wonderful atmosphere.
