My son is down there vacationing. Went to the clinic to have his eye seen about. Looks like he has some sort of eye infection or corneal abrasion. I'm a nurse and I know that no ER or Urgent Care center is allowed to refuse treatment but they told him he would have to pay the self pay cost despite the fact we have private insurance with at a 35$ urgent care copay clearly stated on the card. RecommendedI recently have been suffering from intense panic attacks.. considering the world these days, a lot of people probably are. I was very concerned with info I was given on vape users and the symptoms seemed to match what I was feeling and I was very scared. I called GS Urgent Care and a nurse Kim spent 20 mins on the phone with me, calming me down and discussing anxiety. I waited 5 weeks for an appointment with McCalpin only to be told the day of my appointment that they had called me the day before (no voicemail) to reschedule and it would be another 2-4 weeks. I used to love this office, but it’s way too understaffed and chaotic now. Now I’m now being treated in Fairhope and it’s been amazing. I really hope something happens and this office can be great again.

RecommendedVery thorough. Staff is working so hard right now but still very friendly. Dr. McAtee is the best. I don’t give praise easily for a Dr., but he’s an exception.
