I had a decubitus ulcer on the heiny. It was debrided by a surgeon to around 8.4 cm. In 2.5 weeks or had healed almost a full cm. The doctor decided a wound vac was essential, a decision that was abhorred by the specialty home care nurses. When the wound essentially stopped healing they put me on levaquin even though I had no symptoms or indicators of an infection. I'm a diabetic and had a small wound on my toe and was referred to this clinic. The visits were fine, the doctor and nurses were friendly and were competent. The doctor would ask me to come back in a week for follow-up so I went a total of 3 times. I scheduled a 4th time but had to cancel. I had not received a bill up to this point. My podiatrist would charge me the specialist copay and do the same exact procedure (debridement).
