I'm having a hard time keeping faith in Lynchburg. I moved here recently and have applied for at least a dozen jobs here. I have experience, schooling and update certifications. My job before moving was the hospital. Nothing....must not want help to bad or else they are just as racist as the jail.

My mother, 87, on blood thinners fell and knocked a tooth out at 1:00 am. Took her to Lynchburg ER and told them what had happened as she could not talk coherently. We sat for FOUR HOURS, without being seen by any medical professional. I should add that they were not busy. Receptionist was very rude and dismissive when I asked to at least have her examined. Finally gave up, put her back in the car and drove to UVA ER. She was seen immediately, then X-rayed in 15 minutes. A nurse started an IV with antibiotics after tha... read more

On May 5, 2022, during the pre-surgery period, a nurse came down from the OR, I presume (but it could have been any random person), and immediately decided she had to shave my genitals and groin area. I had never seen this nurse before and she just, literally, came into my room. There was no introduction or any information regarding who she was, where she worked, and most importantly, what authority and what role she had in my procedure. I went to Lynchburg General At 10:30 with back and kidney pain. I was the 4th one in the waiting room. 3 hours later and about 40 more people in the waiting room I was never called back and was told they couldn't tell me when that might be. They had signs up saying you had to wear a mask, there was a lady coughing and vomiting in the bathroom, she came out without a mask to get a towel and returned to the bathroom, I mentioned it to staff, no one checked on her.
