I dont recommend Centra as a good place to work. Centra allows and encourages bullying or harassment of employees by their co-workers,management, and human resources. Management put things in my file to make me look like a bad employee and its not true. I spoke with 2 people in administration and instead of helping me,they threw me under the bus. I worked for Centra as an RN. I tolerated attacks on my character and unprofessional behavior by management. I was to receive a $15,000 sign on bonus, however, they terminated me right before this paycheck. This is one more reason they are unable to keep qualified and experienced staff at their facilities. I strongly warn other professionals of their unethical behavior.
RecommendedI have had numerous stays etc. the girls on the GMU unit are hard to beat I just wanted to tell them thank you for the care that they Have given me

Centra is the absolute BEST! Best care, best nurses and doctors! They really treat you like family here! So personable and sweet!

Centra SUCKS they treated me like crap with my job at PACE and before.
Walked in to a completely empty ER waiting room, they took my son's blood I'm triage and told I to wait. 3 hours and a full waiting room later I asked what's the hold up, 8 people came from the back and left. They claimed they were waiting on a room. BS. My 17 year old was supposed to be seen for possible cardiac issues, guess they weren't too concerned. We left....
NOTHING!! They ought to be shut down and run out of town!! This town was far better off before them. Now there are absolutely no choice for medical care without going outside Lynchburg!! Somebody needs to shut them down!!!
