My Fiancée had a surge of stomach pain, could not even lift herself up because of the pain. I rushed her to the ER afraid for her life as I was scared she had appendicitis and her appendix was going to rupture. A life threatening emergancy. Predatory billing. Had a suspected miscarriage at 8 weeks and went in to ER for an ultrasound. Had blood test, urine sample. Waited over two hours for an ultrasound. The ultrasound tech couldn’t tell me anything, only the doctor. Went back to waiting room for 3 1/2 hours. Passed the baby while sitting in the waiting room during that time. Finally met with doctor who confirmed the miscarriage and sent me home. Got bill in the mail for $3,200. Truly a waste of time. You’re better off going to Lewis Gale in Roanoke, Virginia.
If you care at all about your health do not come here. You’ll die in the waiting room before they can see you. 6+ hour wait times for an emergency is absolutely ridiculous. Their form of treatment is sit and wait until you either think you feel better, or get fed up and decide to just leave.
On January 2nd went to the ER via LFD arrival time 6:21 pm due too high blood pressure, chest and stomach pains. I was sent to Bay 11 and my nurse came in and started EKG and a few minutes later he attempted 2 blooddraws and failed..he continued to try again but failed. He called another nurse who was supposed to be the greatest...after her 2 attempts she finally was able to draw a line for my CT Scan.
