The nurse at the natural beginnings birth center told me my history did not rule me out for the birth center and it would depend on the provider. The midwives here rejected me because I had gestational diabetes in my previous pregnancy and said "since I was still overweight, I would probably end up with it again anyways." I have been working my butt off losing 10 pounds since getting pregnant and watching my sugars and keeping them in range. Rebecca is amazing! She took the time to really listen to my concerns and explain everything. She was a giant help and comfort not only through the end of my pregnancy but my birth as well. The nurses were also wonderful. I’m definitely going to miss everyone now that my pregnancy is over. Would highly recommend.
Very rude and clearly do not care about their patients—Will not be returning
I had had a pretty decent experience with my youngest, but the total LACK of compassion from them is disgusting. The nurse Lisa was always rude and had an attitude about EVERYTHING. How dare I ask ANY QUESTIONS about my pregnancy and care. Honestly, very disappointing. Thank God it was my second pregnancy…I can’t imagine if it would have been my first. NO ONE should be treated the way Lisa and Rachel treat people at this practice.
The complete lack of compassion for patients who need things done differently by Rachel Sizemore is baffling considering the field she’s in. Every woman is different. Every baby is different. Every birth is different. But not to her and she will show it by being rude and challenging your every decision. I wouldn’t recommend this place to any moms who have different needs from the norm nor any moms who would like to birth at Natural Beginnings.
