Adults with a lisp, come here! I have had a lisp my whole life. I attempted to correct it on my own without success many times in the past. I had difficulty finding a speech pathologist for adults, but was so happy I found the Center for Speech & Language. I worked with Jennifer for about two and a half months. She walked me through a progressive system to correct my "s" sound. If I hit difficult points, she helped me through them as well as avoiding additional mistakes on my path to success. My son and I was turned away at the door after I drove over an hour for his first session appointment because I was 12 minutes late due to Huntsville traffic. I even called before hand to let them know I was running late, but due to their 10 minute late policy they couldn’t see him for the remaining 18 minutes.They said they needed at least 20 minutes. My son's therapist, Nicole, is wonderful. He adores her and he's so excited to see her every week. She's patient, genuine, and empathic. He's come a very long way since he started treating with her and I'm so grateful for her.
