I can’t say enough good things about Dr Shaw and his entire team! I had mastectomies and chemotherapy and radiation and what he was able to do to help me is amazing. I had a difficult course with my treatments and he even called me himself multiple times to check on me. He was very clear with what can and cannot be done and made every effort to give me the best result. His caring, compassion, and skill helped me get through this difficult time. I have never been to a doctor or doctor’s office that treats patients as well.
I had a negative experience as well. Famous last words “I trust you since you should know how breasts should look.” Every time I look in the mirror I cry, 2 years later. Gaslit when asking how to fix it. No help, no suggestions just tried to charge me more. Before photos mysteriously vanished. Should have filed suite for damages but I’m feeling like it’s too mean. Something isn’t right. I should be treated with more respect. Since 2020 it feels professionalism and proper care is rare to come across.
He doesn't like being told you don't like his work. He immediately stops listening after that. After repeatedly telling me how wonderful my new "perky 20 yr old breast not those 50 year old ones" will look after my mastectomy, I felt hopeful. Well, I now have 2 implants nearly under my armpits that sag. Just like a 50 yr old except no shape and an inch thick and an inch wide in-between my breasts. Dr Shaw is by far wonderful!! I had breast cancer and had to have a double mastectomy, well actually didn't have to have surgery everything happened so quickly I didn't really have time to think. The night before my surgery I gave my life to God, I got baptized and delivered that night and noticed the lump on my right side was getting smaller!! I still felt the lump that next day and my surgery was due to be done early that morning so I didn't really have time to think, yes I could have canceled it but I also thought of the ... read more
