wouldnt recommend to my worst enemy. process was a nightmare. once attending, groups were poorly run, theres more downtime than actual grouping, there is a very uncomfortable atmosphere where adults and children are forced to interact and it can lead to uncomfortable situations. mm- center for discovery was the unproductive and unhelpful treatment center that i have been to. The way they run there treatment does not benefit the mind of a person with an eating disorder. For starters they were always worried about other things like communication outside of treatment and productivity in groups instead of how we were actually doing. Groups were also very unhelpful. CFD Bridgewater is a breath of fresh air. The staff are welcoming and supportive, and go above and beyond for their clients. It can feel overwhelming at first, however the therapists, dietitians, and the rest of the clinical staff work together to provide a well rounded program here and it shows! They accept feedback and individualize group therapy In a way that's beneficial to those who are in attendance. I've been helped tremendously by this facility and am so thankful to be in recovery. While there are some amazing staff members here, it was overall not the best environment. Some staff members have little experience working with eating disorders and unfortunately, it shows. I would highly recommend looking somewhere else, as I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was very disorganized most of the time, and there appeared to be little communication between staff members. Our family needed support and guidance about addressing an eating disorder and CfD provided professional and terrific care. After seeing a therapist who provided zero guidance and help for our family (though she was an ED specialist, apparently), the therapist at CfD was the first person to identify and begin to address the root causes of the issue.
