For the second time, this practice insisted on taking an insurance copay up front after we showed proof that the copay would be paid by the insurance company via an HRA account. Each time, we had to fight to get the duplicate copay refunded, requiring multiple phone calls and letters. The first copay of $1,000 wasn't even required since the procedure was fully covered 100%. Dr Acker is awesome- fantastic bedside manner, down to earth and I truly felt he is invested in his patients. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone.
